Registration Tools
Path Class Search
Path Class Search is a planning tool where you can see important information about the classes available for a particular semester. You can use Path to create a plan prior to the opening of registration in order to optimize your registration experience. It is important to note that you use Path to plan your course schedule, but when it is time to register, you use NOVO to actually enroll in classes.

NOVO
NOVO is the registration system that you use to enroll in your classes. If you've created a plan in Class Path Search, you will be able to access this plan when you log into NOVO at the time of registration.
Course Considerations
During registration, you may encounter constraints while registering for courses. Use the following tools when faced with these constraints.
Waitlist
Student Services recommends using the Waitlist Request form if you are unsuccessful in securing your desired course. Please note the following:
- Once a course reaches capacity and a waitlist has begun, a departmental hold will be placed so that students can only enroll in the class via the waitlist.
- Waitlist entries are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The waitlist is administratively processed, so there may be times when you see an opening in a class that has a waitlist. This means that Graduate Student Life is working to contact the next student on the waitlist in order to fill that seat.
Course Overload
If you want to take more than the maximum enrollment for your program, submit the Overload Request Form. You will be emailed to let you know if your request has been approved.
